Flotte, Mary Ann, was baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection on September 14, 2018 at the age of 86. Born in St. Louis, MO to John C. Flotte and Leona Flotte (nee Kaiman). Dear little sister of the late Lorraine Crouther and the late Sylvester Flotte. Dear sister-in-law to Patricia Flotte and the late Oscar Crouther. Dear aunt to Kathryn Culp, Glen Crouther, Rose Naes (Glenn), Donald Crouther, Greg Flotte (Charlene), Karen Flotte (John Posey) and the late Mary Flotte.
Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of the St. Louis area. She began a career as an administrative assistant, working for Union Electric and Emerson Electric. Then her more creative nature led her to work as a florist and eventually as an accomplished crafter. She created beautiful decorations, such as wreaths and table centerpieces, especially for the Fall and Christmas seasons, that she would sell at craft fairs or give to family and friends. Mary Ann was a member of the St. Louis Symphony Chorus for many years and was proud to have sung with them at Carnegie Hall three times. She was a devoted Catholic, most recently as a member of All Saints Catholic Church in St. Peters, MO. She loved nature in all its forms and had a particular affection for red bud trees.
The family is grateful for the loving and professional care provided to Mary Ann by Right-at-Home St. Charles (especially Jean, Donna, Ellie, Leslie and gone but not forgotten Nancy).
Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s honor to All Saints Catholic Church or St. Louis Symphony.
