Mary Burroughs

Mary Burroughs (Hoffmeyer) passed away on April 28, 2024, in O'Fallon, Missouri, at the age of 63. She was born on May 3, 1960, in St. Louis.
 
Mary is survived by her sons Ian Burroughs, Joshua (Angelyn) Burroughs, her brother Richard (Robbin) Hoffmeyer, her sister Cathrine (Bill) Thoele, her brothers Joseph (Kathleen) Hoffmeyer, Matthew (Peggy) Hoffmeyer, and her sister Jane (John) Preuss. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Hoffmeyer Sr, her mother Mary Lou Hoffmeyer, and her brother Steven Hoffmeyer; Mary is succeeded by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary enjoyed the Kentucky Derby, Cardinals baseball, Blues Hockey, and anything to do with her family.

A Mass will be held at Assumption Parish (in the Chapel) at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, followed by a Celebration of Life for family and friends at Pezold Banquet and Meeting Center in the Club Room from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The venues are located at Assumption Parish (Chapel next to main church), 403 N. Main St. O'Fallon, MO 63366, and Pezold Banquet Center, 5701 Highway N, St. Charles, MO 63304.
 
In honor of Mary's love for the Kentucky Derby, her Celebration of Life is being held on the same date as the 2024 Kentucky Derby. Guests are encouraged to wear Kentucky Derby attire, with women encouraged to wear a hat or fascinator.
