Sister Mary Charles (Marguerite) Borre, C.PP.S., Monday, November 19, 2007, baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection. Beloved daughter of the late Charles and Ebronie (Streuve) Borre. Preceded in death by her brother: Jerome Borre and her sisters: Josephine Regnier, Sister Mary Carmel Borre, C.PP.S. and Martha Gutfelder. She is survived by her brother, Camille Borre, Denver, Colorado, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and Sisters in Christ. Sister of the Most Precious Blood of OFallon, Missouri for 72 years. Entrance as a Postulant: August 15, 1932; first profession of vows: August 12, 1935; final profession of vows: August 12, 1938. Sister Mary Charles served in the motherhouse bakery and laundry. She was also a homemaker at several convents in Missouri: St. Henry's in Charleston and St. John the Baptist, St. Elizabeth Academy and St. Agatha in St. Louis. She kept the home fires burning at St. Mary's Convent in Quincy, Illinois and at Most Precious Blood Convent in Chula Vista, California. In her later years, she let go gracefully and, since 1994, has served through prayer and presence at our motherhouse. Ninety three years of a generous and dedicated life deserves to be celebrated with gratitude and joy. Even, in her dying, this remarkable woman touched our lives with her wholeheartedness, her unwavering dedication to God and her commitment to see that we were fed.
