Mary Frechman

March 25, 1940 — April 18, 2024

St. Peters, Missouri

Mary Frances Frechman, (nee Steiner), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late James Donald Frechman; cherished daughter of the late Joseph T. and Kathryn L Steiner. Devoted mother of James D. (Susan) Frechman, Jr. and Donna Frederickson; loving grandmother of Erich Frechman, Breanna Frechman and Zoe Frederickson; loving aunt and friend to many. Preceded in death by brother, John (Patricia) Steiner.

Mary's passing comes 12 years after the loss of her husband Jim to whom she was married for nearly 53 years, a loss from which her heart never truly healed.

Church, Faith, Family and Friends were the constant influences throughout Mary's life. She shared this same passion and commitment to Faith with her children as they grew, just as her mother had done so for her. Mary was a great example and influence for her children, bestowing upon them the love and guidance she received from her own parents.

Mary's love for music and the piano has been with her since childhood at Presentation Church and School in Overland, MO. It was an infectious passion that she bestowed upon her children as there was always music being played in the house growing up. This love for music was absorbed by her children and ultimately inherited by her grandchildren who have found their own ways to incorporate music into their lives.

Mary's sacrifices for her family were never ending. She worked most of her adult life to provide for her family where she made many wonderful friends along the way. Maintaining friendships with her grade school friends demonstrated her devotion to those relationships so important to her and her husband.

In her retirement years, Mary (along with her husband) spent much time attending every event for her grandchildren as possible. From grandparent days at school, church celebrations, school musicals, talent contests, choir and dance performances, and of course hundreds of soccer games.

Mary had a great sense of humor, getting snappier and less restrained as she aged. In her later years she became and an avid watcher of the Hallmark channel along with the occasional soap opera.

Memorials may be made in Mary's name to Donations to All Saints Church and School.
