Mary Jean Grillo

Jean Grillo (nee Fetsch), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Eugene Grillo, Jr.; cherished daughter of the late Jacob and Christine Fetsch; devoted mother of Debbie Grillo, Art (Cindy) Grillo, Jeff (Colleen) Grillo, John (Deby) Grillo, Jim (Judy) Grillo, Karen Steffen, Nancy (Edgar) Wilding, and Ed Grillo; loving grandmother of 18 adoring grandchildren; treasured great grandmother of 30; dear sister of Carol (Ken) Iffrig; aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend, honorary mom and grandmother to many. Jean was also preceded in death by five sisters, Isabell Henke, Alice Hoelting, Luicille Kasper, Ruth Schnieder-Conoyer, her twin, Jane Hibbeler, and 4 brothers, Floyd Fetsch, Ralph Fetsch, Jerry Fetsch, and William Fetsch.

Jean was a devoted member of All Saints Church and a beloved matriarch who cherished her family above all else, finding immense joy in caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking, which she turned into a successful catering business, and was especially celebrated for her incredible lasagna and homemade pizzas. Known for her selflessness, Jean always put the needs of others before her own, embodying a love for life that touched everyone around her. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
