Mary Ann Haenchen (nee Wieland), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the age of 68. Devoted daughter of the late Barbara and Clarence “Boots” Wieland; loving mother of Jennifer (James) McQuaide and David Haenchen; cherished grandmother of Hailey McQuaide; dear former wife of Gregory Haenchen; beloved sister of Michael (Barbara) Wieland, Stephen (Kathlyn) Wieland, Thomas (Debra) Wieland, Patricia (the late Jeffery) Steiner, James (Oanh) Wieland, David (Lavonne) Wieland, and Richard (Vera) Wieland; precious aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Mary was a dedicated nurse for over 40 years. She was incredibly kind and a generous person. Mary was a sponsor through Unbound for over a decade, caring deeply for the communities she worked to support.
Mary was a proud cancer survivor who adored her family most of all. She will be remembered for her loud and infectious laugh. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed dancing.
Mary was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Mary's name to Unbound, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the American Cancer Society.
