Mary J. Greenwood

Mary Jo Rose Greenwood, of Eolia, MO, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the age of 69. Beloved wife of the late Larry Greenwood. Cherished daughter of the late Joseph Hix and Micky Hix. Devoted mother of Matt (Brooke) Greenwood and the late John Longhauser; loving grandmother of John Longhauser, Jr., Easton Greenwood, and Avery Greenwood; dear sister of Diane (Ray) Watford, Debby Leahy, and Keith Hix; treasured aunt of Ben (Sheree) Girard, Diana Hix, and Katlyn Watford.

Mary was a modern-day cowgirl. She was a competitive member of the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association and also enjoyed traveling to different places to go trail riding. Mary loved animals, especially horses. She has two horses named Cracker Jack and Whiskey, a donkey named Rueben and an Australian Shepherd named Hank.

Mary and her husband built their home from the bottom up. She loved farm living and cherished the memories she made there. Mary was an excellent cook, and even won a cooking contest. In her free time, she also enjoyed making crafts and quilts. Mary was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mary's name to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
