Mary Lou Sissom, age 83 of LaBelle, MO, formerly of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014, at her home north of LaBelle, MO. She was born November 29, 1930, in Damascas, Arkansas, the daughter of Jessie Unie and Flava Blanche Quinn Hall.
Mary was united in marriage to Audie Daniel Sissom, Jr. on September 2, 1950, in Piggott, Arkansas. Mary and her husband were engaged in farming in Southeast, MO in DunklinCounty for several years. She also was employed as a seamstress for Eli Walker Shirt Factory in Kennett, MO. Mary also worked as a cook for the FortZumwaltSchool District in O'Fallon, MO, for about 12 years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Kennett, MO. She had also attended the Assembly of God Church in St. Charles, MO.
Surviving are her husband Audie of LaBelle, MO, and two daughters Teresa (Kenneth) Rush of LaBelle, MO, and Vicky (Mike) Schneller of St. Charles, MO, four grandchildren, Leah (Rush) Rounds of Rochester, MN, Benjamin Rush of Chesterton, IN, Tony Schneller of St. Charles, MO, and Ginny (Schneller) Nelsen of Troy, MO, three great-grandchildren, Brendan Schneller, Ari Rounds, and Olivia Rounds, three sisters Blanche Rhine of Florissant, MO, Velma Dale of Cuero, TX, Ruby Hinds of Beeville, TX and one brother Amos Hall of Flint, Michigan; step-sisters Sue Powers, Jan Powers, Marie Powers and Margie Powers. She is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jim and Bill Hall and one sister Erma Brackin; also by her step-mother Elsie Powers Hall and step-brother Gene Powers.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the Baue Funeral Home in O'Fallon, MO. Reverend Jerry Baughman of Clinton, MO, will officiate the services. Burial will be in the in O'Fallon, MO. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO, 63447. Casket bearers will be Tony Schneller, Benjamin Rush, James Waynick. Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the Baue Funeral Home in O'Fallon, MO.
