Mary Lou Valenti, (nee: Schulte) of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at the age of 71. Beloved wife of Salvatore "Sam" Joseph Valenti; cherished daughter of the late Tony and Clara Schulte; devoted mother of Joseph Anthony Valenti; dear sister of Audrey (Jim) Albertson, Nancy (Lee) Hanks, and Toni (Danny) Marra; treasured relative and friend to many.
Mary Lou graduated in 1966 from Eldon High School. She then graduated with a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and later received her Master's in Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Mary Lou taught 2nd grade at Wentzville School district for 31 years, was a Professor of Education at St. Charles Community College for 15 years and was also a Professor of Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis for 5 years. She was also a member of the National Education Association. Her passion in life revolved around children and education, and she impacted the lives of many throughout her journey as teacher. Mary Lou often said, "Kids need to think that you care before they care what you think.”
Mary Lou was a faithful member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was strong in her faith and had a beautiful collection of rosaries. Mary Lou was a very thoughtful, loving, and caring wife and mother. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

American Cancer Society.Interment will be on Wednesday, May 29th, 2019 at Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery in Mary's Home, Missouri at approximately 3:00 PM.
