Mary Ovana Brown

Brown, Mary Ovana nee: Weatherford of Saint Paul, Minnesota, died on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the age of 89. Beloved daughter of the late James Farmington and Bessie Jane Weatherford; devoted mother of Janet Karon Kopff; cherished grandmother of Kimberly Sue Sciscoe, Timothy James Marchand, Kevin Michael Brown, and Jeffrey Darin Marchand; treasured great-grandmother of Simeon Robert Marchand, Kirenda Marietta Brown, Shiann Mikhal Brown, Brady Allen Marchand, Julianna Cheri Sciscoe, Gracelyn Elizabeth Marchand, Brianna Marie Marchand, Esabella Juelle Brown, Addisyn Joy Marchand, Kaleb William Briggs Sciscoe, and Zander Christian Brown; dear sister of James Ted Weatherford, Carl Max Weatherford, Vernon Lavelle Weatherford, and Wesley Ross Weatherford. She is preceded in death by her siblings Johnny Bea Weatherford, Thomas Luther Weatherford, Utah Weatherford, Patsy Brunner, Jerry Weatherford, Bernice Crisp, David Weatherford, Tommie Jean Thielemier, Katie Stapleton, and Wilma Faye Leathers, and her son Lonnie B. Brown.
Ovana's daughter will be selecting a lasting tribute like a garden bench with a plaque "In Loving Memory of Mary O. Brown" or a bird bath with a plaque, which will be placed in the Gardens at the nursing home in which Mary has resided for the last three years.  She especially loved sitting in this area, watching the birds and the squirrels and admiring the multitude of gorgeous flowers and plants.  Mary would like to leave something lasting to the wonderful people who have genuinely loved and compassionately cared for her during her last years.  Checks are to be sent to Janet Kopff, 2701 County Road I, #124, Mounds View, MN 55112.  Once the item is selected, etched, and placed in the Garden, a picture will be taken and this will be included in your Thank You note, so that you can also enjoy Mary Ovana's memory, for years to come.
