Mary Rita Ribble

Mary Rita Ribble (nee Lowe) of O’Fallon, MO passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at the age of 79. Loving wife of Raymond Paul Ribble; beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Mildred Lowe; Sister to John (Susan) Lowe and Frank Lowe; Dearest mother to Michael (Donna Young) Ribble, Joseph (Michele Lauth) Ribble, and Tracy (Anthony Bartoli) Ribble-Bartoli. The world’s best grandma to Jacqueline Ribble, Michael (Kinga Madejowski) Ribble, Joseph Ribble, Kayla Ribble, Dominic Bartoli, Alex Bartoli, and Juliana Bartoli. Cherished great-grandmother to Joevani Ribble, Mikoiaj Ribble, Josephine Monroe, Rozaline Monroe, and Milena Ribble. She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Mildred Lowe; five brothers (Johnny Carroll, Lorenzo Bassler, Kenny Lowe, Matthew Lowe, and James Lowe), and her beloved sister Melissa Lowe.

Mary brought laughter and joy to everyone’s life. She was feisty and fun in all the best ways.

In 1963, Mary went on her first date with Raymond Ribble to the drive-in theater to see the new James Bond Movie. About eleven months later, Raymond and Mary married on November 9th, 1963. They have three beautiful children and seven loving grandchildren, who all adore Mary. Mary loved animals, particularly horses. She loved to craft and always had homemade candles for her family and friends. Anyone who met Mary would tell you that her free spirit and sense of humor made her the life of the party. She never took anything too seriously and always kept smiling. Even through her long battle with cancer and heart disease, Mary never lost her goofiness or her fight. She inspired her family with her strength and courage. To say she will be dearly missed is an understatement. Her physical absence will be a hole in the hearts of all, but her memory will never cease to bring smiles and joy to those who loved her. To live on the way Mary will is a beautiful thing
