Mary Rita Zorn

Beloved wife of the late Alphons Siegfried Zorn,; loving mother of Mary Rita Moonsammy (George), Carlene Josephine Gerhardt (Henry), David John Zorn (Marilyn), Marianne Christine Sanford (William), and Patricia Maria Zorn; step-mother of Gail Vanderschel and Alphons Zorn, Jr.; proud grandmother of thirteen, great-grandmother of four; dear sister of Bernard Lepsky (Evelyn) and Ann Mudd (Floyd). Preceded in death by parents, Konstancyia Szumowska and Zygmunt Lepsky, sister, Agnes L. McCoy and brother, Joe Lepsky. Mrs. Zorn graduated from Kirksville State Teachers College. She began her teaching career in a one-room schoolhouse in St. Charles around 1935, and finished her teaching career at Riverview Gardens School District after 30 years in the district. She then continued teaching as a PSR Teacher at St. Christopher Parish in Florissant. She was a member of the Legion of Mary. She was a teacher, mother, mentor and inspiration to the many lives she touched.
