Helen Schroer

Mary Helen Schroer (nee Quanty), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Marvin Wilbert Schroer for 64 years; cherished daughter of the late Rolla Charles and Emma Teresa Quanty. Devoted mother of Phyllis Schroer and the late Donald (Sandra) Schroer; loving grandmother of Jennifer (the late Christopher) Matheny and Kimberly Schroer; treasured great-grandmother of Nichalas (Jackie) Schroer, Victoria Matheny, and Mackenzie Matheny; great-great grandmother of Baby Schroer; dear sister of Frances “Gerry” (the late Raymond) Ell and Jean (the late Robert) Ellis; beloved aunt to many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by three sisters, Genevieve (Ralph Smith and Ed Keene) Smith Keene, Rita Quanty, and Joan (Floyd "Bud") Weeks; two brothers, Charles (Mary) Quanty and Paul (Doris) Quanty; brother-in-law, George (Marian) Schroer. 

Helen was a kind and caring person who always put others before herself. She had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with them. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had been looking forward to meeting her first great-great-granddaughter. Helen was an incredible friend who remained close with her high school friends throughout the years. She enjoyed spending time in the country mowing and tending to flowers on the family farm. She had a passion for traveling with her family, exploring new places, and in her quiet moments, she enjoyed reading and working on puzzles. Her family was her greatest joy, and she dedicated her life to their happiness. Helen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
