Maryanna K. Altrogge
May 4, 1924 — June 24, 2018
Altrogge, Maryanna K. (nee Kedro) of St. Peters, Missouri, formerly of Glenolden, PA., passed away “Peacefully” with Anointing of the Sick on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late William B. Altrogge a WWII Veteran; cherished daughter of the late Kazimierz and Katarzyna Kudrynowicz; devoted mother of Jane (Robert) Franzen; loving grandmother of Capt. Tom (Francesca) Franzen and Christina (Ron) Popp; treasured great-grandmother of Thomas, Dominic, Eileen, and Joey. Maryanna is preceded in death by her 3 brothers.
Maryanna attended Nursing School and spent several years as a nurse at St Vincent’s in Philadelphia working with infants and young children. After retirement from Homemaker status she also volunteered with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia organizing and distributing baby formulas and clothing to young needy mothers.
She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima’s Senior Club and enjoyed playing cards (especially King’s Corner), going to the Jersey shore and Casinos and shopping; most importantly she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maryanna was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, July 23 at 10:30AM with Visitation beginning 9:30AM at Our Lady of Fatima in Secane, PA. Interment will be at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association or the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
