Mathias “Mat” Telkamp
February 15, 1957 — February 24, 2022
Mathias “Mat” Telkamp, of Saint Charles, MO, went to Heaven Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Anita Telkamp; cherished son of Mathias J. Telkamp and the late Edith Telkamp. Devoted father of Mathias P. Telkamp and Jeremy Telkamp; stepfather of Carey Gallatin, Matthew Ellis, and Leaha O'Brien; loving grandfather of many grandchildren and step-grandchildren; dear brother of Cindy (Ed) Kern, Peggy Mayfield, Becky (Warren) Clark, David Telkamp, Aaron Telkamp, and Shawn Telkamp; treasured uncle of numerous nephews and nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces.
Mat was a very caring person. He volunteered with St. Charles Neighborhood Preservation Partnership, to help make homes accessible for elderly and disabled people. Mat was known for his honesty and his hard work. He was outgoing and knew many contractors and subcontractors within the construction trade. Mat was a Master Carpenter and General Contractor, he learned the trade from his father with Telkamp Construction. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mat's name to American Cancer Society.
