Matthew Joel Green, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the age of 40. Loving son of William J. and Belinda K. Green; cherished brother of Stephanie Taksel; devoted uncle of Max Taksel-Fukushima; dearest nephew of Stanley K. (Joan) Green, Kristie (Mark Summers) Green, Perry J. (Nancy) Bumpus, Jr.; dear cousin and friend to many. Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joel (Betty) Green, and Perry (Madgel) Bumpus.
Matthew graduated from St. Charles West High School, he then studied and received his bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Missouri. He went on to receive his master’s in Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado.
Matthew had a great heart with a compassionate, loving, and kind soul. He truly felt at home in the mountains of Colorado where he loved to go snowboarding. He enjoyed traveling and cherished his trip to Iceland and the culture he quickly settled into.
Matthew loved music, and it was a very important part of his life. He created music with his friends, somewhat weird, but it was his music. He also played the saw, drums, and guitar. Matthew loved body art, and his tattoos were pretty amazing. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Matthew’s name to the
International Essential Tremor Foundation.
