Maureen Jane Parrish (nee Giefer), of Cottleville, MO, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Thomas Parrish; cherished daughter of the late Ira and Genevieve Johanna Giefer. Devoted mother of Parri (Brandon) Callahan, Ty (Sara) Parrish, Dru Parrish; loving grandmother of Daxton Callahan, Rylee Callahan, August Parrish, Eleanor (Ellie) Parrish, and Lincoln Parrish; dear sister of John (Karen) Giefer, Mary (James (deceased)) Doherty, and James (Carol) Giefer.
Maureen had a beautiful voice and shared her gift as a member of the Chris-Tones, a liturgical folk group, for 45 years. She was also deeply involved in Bible studies, which reflected her strong faith. An exceptionally talented seamstress, Maureen created countless blankets, quilts, and clothing, pouring love and care into each piece. Her sewing was a true passion, and she was always working on a new project as soon as she finished the last. Her family cherishes the handmade treasures she left behind, each a heartfelt reminder of her. Maureen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
