Maurice Charles Whitacre, Jr.

Maurice Charles Whitacre, Jr. of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the age of 95. Loving husband of the late Sharon Whitacre; beloved son of the late Maurice Charles, Sr. and Bernice Whitacre; devoted father of Cynthia Harting; cherished grandfather of Steffanie Harting-Rockette and Chad Harting; treasure great-grandfather of Lincoln Rockette and Adrienne Rockette. Maurice is also preceded in death by his dear friend of Denise Brown.

Maurice proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a 32^nd degree Mason. Maurice was a broadcaster for KMOX radio for many years. He enjoyed playing golf and was a ham radio operator and enthusiast. Maurice was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Maurice's name to the Wet Nose Project, 976 Villa Gran Way, Fenton, MO 63026.
