Maxine S. Dutch, of Saint Peters, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the age of 88. Loving wife of the late James Dutch; beloved daughter of the late Claud and Ona Schooley; dearest sister of Richard (Betty) Schooley, the late Clarence (Willadean) Schooley, the late Kenneth Schooley, the late Deloris (George) Dyhouse and the late Ailene (Richard) Preifer; sister-in-law of Evelyn Schooley; cherished aunt, great-aunt and great-great aunt to many. Maxine is also survived by her stepsons, Richard (Marty) Dutch, Michael Dutch, and Gregory Dutch.
Maxine retired after more than 38 years with United Airlines as a flight attendant. She loved her job and traveling all over the world, especially to Australia, and she easily made friends wherever she went. During the Vietnam War, Maxine was involved with the charters that took soldiers to and from the war field, and she was honored to be there for the military.
In her younger years, Maxine was very adventurous, and she always looked forward to going snow skiing. She loved cooking and learning new recipes from various countries. She enjoyed arts & crafts, sewing, and even made a mosaic table. Maxine liked to play Mahjong as well as board games with friends and family, and boy was she competitive.
Maxine had a heart of gold, and she had a lot of influence in other’s lives through her generosity and willingness to help out others; she was quite the inspiration. Maxine was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial contributions may be made in Maxine's name to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
