Maxine Stine

Maxine Hess Stine, (nee Hess), of High Hill, MO, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the age of 89. Loving wife of almost 68 years to Clair K. Stine; beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Hess; devoted mother of Terry E. (Carol) Stine, Thomas R. (Nina) Stine, and Yvonne (Jim) Garrett; cherished grandmother of Julie Rangel, Dana (Seth) Thomas, David (Nicole) Stine, Carrie (Steve) Naglak, Heather (Matt) Thomson, Eric Stine, and James Garrett; treasured great-grandmother of Ten; dearest sister of Wayne Hess; and is survived by many other dear relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Carrie Whitenight; and infant brother, Jimmy Hess.

Maxine was a long-time Sunday School teacher and in recent years attended Prices Branch Christian Church in High Hill, MO. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and reading. Maxine was a great baker and made great pumpkin bread. She loved to take care of her family, especially her grandkids. Maxine cherished the trips she took fishing with her husband. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
