May Pearl Matthews (nee Howell), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late William R. Matthews, Sr.; cherished daughter of the late Clifford and Paulette Howell; devoted mother of Richard (Sharon) Matthews, William Matthews, Jr., Kathrine (Sam) Guccione, Laura Matthews, Linda (Jim) Simon, Mary (John) Ross and the late James Matthews; loving grandmother of Brian, Brent, Kimberly, Suzanne, Samantha, Elizabeth, Jamie, Ellie, Matthew, Olivia and the late Justin Simon; treasured great-grandmother of eleven; dear sister of the late Estelle Buechter and Albert Howell;
Family was always May’s main priority throughout her life. She enjoyed family get togethers and the holidays. May was a master seamstress and even designed her children’s wedding dresses. She loved apple picking, Cardinals Baseball and traveling everywhere and anywhere with her beloved husband William. May was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in May's name to Disabled American Veterans or American Cancer Society.
