McElroy Lowery

McElroy (Mike) began life’s journey on October 4th, 1946, in El Dorado, Arkansas born to the late Leonard (Lente) Lowery and Marcella Lowery. He passed away Thursday, February 2nd, 2023, in his home.

Mike was baptized as a Jehovah Witness in El Dorado, Arkansas. He worked at Allied Moving Company in El Dorado, which led him to a career as a trucker. He loved the open roads and traveled Coast to Coast. Mike would go on to become the CEO/Owner of his own trucking business. Retiring after over 40 something years in June of 2021.

Mike seldom took time away from work. He was firm believer in providing for his family. He also loved to take family trips, fish and golf every chance he got.

Mike married Linnie Jean Dawn in 1965. To this union, four children were born. He and his family relocated to Meadville, MO in 1977. His family would later settle into St. Peters, MO in 1980 where he and Linnie raised their children.

Mike was proceeded in death by his wife Linnie Jean Lowery, one grandchild, Mia Marcano, two sisters, Ruby Neal Ganter, Ollie Faye Hall, one brother, James L Lowery, two nephews, Orlando Reed and Nathan Reed. 

He is survived by two brothers, Andy Lowery (DeLois) and William Dismuke. Four children, Pamela Lowery-Green, Michael Lowery (Mitzi), Patricia Henderson (Derrick), Melinda Howard (Wiley). Seven grandchildren, Leonard Lowery, Jasmine Green, Darian Wilson, Jalessa Edwards, Mackenzi Lowery, Mason Lowery and Aliyah Marcano. Ten great grandchildren, several brother in laws, sister in laws,  host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
