Melissa "Missy" M. Schaughnessy

Melissa "Missy" M. Schaughnessy, of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the age of 52. Beloved daughter of Kathy (Alan) Trodus and the late Michael J. Schaughnessy; cherished stepdaughter of Mary Lou Schaughnessy; devoted mother and best friend of Chyna Schaughnessy; treasured granddaughter of Nick and Virginia Zwilling, Michael and Brenetta Schaughnessy and Jerry and Mildred DeSherlia; dear cousin, niece, and friend to many.  

Melissa proudly worked in the medical field for 17 years. She had a vivacious personality and presence when she walked into a room, people would gravitate towards her. Melissa loved to spend time with her friends and family, she had an eclectic sense of humor and loved to make another laugh or smile but could also be mean as a rattlesnake. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time at the pool and traveling, but most of all spending time with her daughter, Chyna. You could often find her playing music or going for a joy ride in her convertible. Melissa will always be remembered as having loved her family above everything else. She will be dearly missed.  

Memorials may be made in Melissa’s name to American Cancer Society or Unity Hospice.
