Merle Darold Foss

Foss, Merle Darold, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the age of 80. Loving husband of the late Virginia Sue Foss; beloved son of the late Arthur and Mary Francis Foss; devoted father of Melanie (Robert Tedder) Charvat and Michelle (James Douglas "Doug") Wood; cherished grandfather of Melissa, Caleb, Jon, Katie, Crystal and Ryan; dear brother of Jackie Nash, Betty Jean Nash and Norma "Pete" Ferguson; Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his identical twin brother Earl. Merle was a member of the Bogey Hills Baptist Church. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Saint Louis Cardinals and Rams. Merle was an avid traveler. Most recently he and his friend traveled 17,000 miles cross country by car for his trip of a lifetime.
