In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Academy, Faribault, MN or St. John's University, Collegeville, MN. or to your local Hospice Merrill F. Hanlon. He entered the world in Faribault, Minnesota on a spring day in 1927 and when he left it on February 16, 2002, those of us whose lives he touched understood we had indeed been blessed to know a man with such uncompromising personal integrity, an unending curiosity and quest for knowledge and a boundless capacity for love of his fellow man. His life was enriched beyond measure by his bride Mary Agnes, the love of his life, to whom he was wholly devoted. Together they raised five children who will forever strive to live their lives in a manner consistent with the values they were taught as children; who in turn will hope they can pass those values on to their own children so they may, as did their father, leave this world a better place than the one they found. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Agnes; son Timothy and wife Clare, daughter Maureen and husband Larry, son Sean and wife Sally, daughter Sheila and husband Larry, and son Matthew and wife DeAnn. 14 grand-children and 6 great grandchildren will miss his warm smile and love of family.
