Michael F. Ellis Sr.
December 14, 1945 — January 25, 2022
Michael F. Ellis, Sr. of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Pam Ellis; cherished son of the late Harold and Louise Ellis. Devoted father of Michael F. (Cheryl) Ellis, Jr., Jeremy (Tessa) Ellis, Jason (Michelle) Ellis, Jeff Scott, Kathleen (Scott) Dawson, and Mike (Melissa) House; loving grandfather of Nicholas (Jackie) Ellis, Kara Ellis, Melissa Ellis, Carsyn Ellis, Kellen Ellis, Michael Ryan, Brooklyn Ellis, Amanda (Casey) Langenstein, Scott Dawson, Jr., Matthew Dawson, Anna Dawson, Jacob House, Patrick "PJ" House, David Johnson, Leah Hyman, and Shawn Hyman; treasured great-grandfather of Walker Langenstein; dear brother of Sonja (the late Denny) Greeves, the late Richard (Judy) Ellis and the late Mary Dee (Robert) Harris.
Mike dedicated over 30 years as a research chemist at Mallinckrodt. He enjoyed spending his free time with family outdoors, fishing or spending time on the houseboat at Bull Shoals Lake or camping at Mark Twain. Mike was a fan of Nascar, Cardinals baseball and the St. Louis Ambush Soccer. He had a passion for sports, SCUBA, and would go snow skiing, and coached CYC soccer and baseball. Mike also liked to take a ride on his motorcycle. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Michael's name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
