Michael John Hoey

Michael John Hoey, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, at the age of 68. Cherished son of Mary Jane and the late Bernard Mathew Hoey; dear brother of Elizabeth (Greg) Thompson, Brian (Donna) Hoey, the late Kevin Hoey, and the late Lynne Joubert; treasured uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, and beloved by other relatives and many friends.
Michael found joy in life's pleasures, exuding warmth, and charm. Having dedicated most of his career to Norfolk Southern, he took pride in his work with the railroad. In his youth, he embraced hockey and later found solace in golf, often teeing off with his companions from the Sunshine Boys. His interests extended to fishing and travel, with Florida holding a special allure during winter. Michael's endearing nature touched the hearts of many, and his absence will be deeply felt by those fortunate enough to have known him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Michael's name to Support Lung Cancer Research.
