Michael J. “Mike” Obenhaus

Obenhaus, Michael Joseph age 74 of Collinsville, Illinois, died Saturday, February 17, 2018.
Cherished son of the late John and Margaret Obenhaus; devoted father of Tim (Kim) Obenhaus, Jill (Jason) College, and Leslie Obenhaus (daughter-in-law); loving grandfather of Amanda Obenhaus, Jack, Elly, and Oliver Colleges, Grace, Sam, Josh, Sarah, Hope and Holly Obenhaus; treasured great-grandfather of Leona. Michael is preceded in death by his son Paul Obenhaus, grandson Evan Obenhaus and his brothers and sisters John, Kenneth, Martin, Patricia and Karen. He is survived by his former wives’, Shirley Schmidt and Patricia Rice.
Michael owned and operated a Texaco gas station in Hazelwood, MO and later worked at Budget Truck Rentals. He loved horse racing and especially the Kentucky Derby. Michael was a hard worker, persevered beyond his circumstances, a gentleman farmer and he taught his children how to survive in this world. Michael was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
