“At some point… we all have to just take a deep breath and REMEMBER, in the end, it will work out. Until then: SMILE! mk.” Michael Steven Kowalewski passed away on Sunday, July 18 at the age of 22. Mike worked at Whitmoor Country Club and was attending Lindenwood University with plans to become a professional athletic trainer. Mike “Kovi” was a tremendous athlete and a proud member of the St. Louis Royals Rugby Club. He was a passionate fisherman and hunter who spent hours on Facebook and the Missouri Whitetail message boards. He had a huge heart of gold, great sense of humor and constantly had a mischievous twinkle in his eye. Mike was born in St. Louis, MO on October 29, 1987 and is survived by his parents Linda and Chester, his sister Lisa and brother David. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents John and Joyce Clark, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends whom he considered family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Chester Sr. and Tillie Kowalewski and cousin William “Bill” Miller. In lieu of flowers, Mike would have wanted any donations to be made to the St. Louis Royals Rugby Club (mail to 7326 Canton Ave, St. Louis, MO 63130) or Missouriwhitetails.com to benefit disabled hunters (by clicking on the paypal button on their home page).
