Mike was born on July 29, 1961 in East Chicago, Indiana. He was a graduate of Lawrence Central High School, Indianapolis, Indiana, class of 1979. Following his high school graduation, Mike began a four-year enlistment in the U.S. Navy. While serving in the Navy, Mike was trained by the Singer Link Corporation of Binghamton, New York as a flight simulator technician. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy in 1984, he was hired by Singer Link to train U.S. military personnel on various types of aircraft. He was employed in this capacity for many years by Singer Link, Hughes Helicopter, McDonnell Douglas Aviation, and the Boeing Aircraft Corporation. With Boeing, Mike attained World-Class status in aerospace simulation technology and assisted numerous foreign countries in training pilots for the F-14, F-15, and F-16 fighter planes as well as the Apache Attack Helicopter and its successor the Apache Long Bow Assault Helicopter. Mike was involved in military flight simulator installations all over the world including South Korea, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates. He spent 16 months in Daigu, South Korea training pilots for the South Korean government.

Mike loved family get-togethers with his Mom and Dad, brothers and Wife Debbie.  He was frequently the life of the party regaling everyone with tales of his trips to foreign lands. He also loved sports, especially beanbag, pool, arm-wrestling, the Indianapolis 500 race, and the Chicago Cubs and Bears. With respect to arm-wrestling, he was frequently able to defeat many of his bigger, stronger opponents with his notorious “arm lock” strategy.

Mike will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
