Michael P. Hughes

Michael P. Hughes, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Victoria Hughes; cherished son of Daniel (Maria Hughes) Hughes and the late Beverley Hughes. Devoted father of Michael (Rachel) Hughes, Jr., William (Kori) Hughes, Amanda (Paul) Caruso, and step son, Richard McGhay; loving grandfather of Ben, Jack, Henry, Graham, Beau, Jessy, Raelyn, and Alex; treasured great-grandfather of Scarlett and Zen; dear brother of Daniel (The late Nalana) Hughes, Jr., Kathy (Rick) Thomas, and the late Cindy Fender; loving uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Mike was a selfless and caring man. He was always willing to help others. Mike’s approachable personality and great smile led him to never meeting a stranger. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Marine Corps and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Saint Charles. Mike enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He loved the outdoors and passed on his sense of adventure to his sons. Mike was quite the handyman and was a carpenter. He also worked at Ameristar as a table games dealer for many years. Mike cherished his family over everything. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle and cousin. Mike was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mike's name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research.
