Mildred Avanelle Ava Ward

Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation. WARD, Mildred Avanelle ''Ava'' (nee: Bell); Creve Coeur, Missouri, August 28, 2006 age 86; devoted mother of Denny L. Ward, Larry R. Ward, Shirley J. Denen, and Douglas D. Ward; dear sister of Ethel Radke. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Bell and Anna Davidson (nee: Flowers) and her sister Velma Rakey. Ava was the Director of Volunteers at John Cochran Hospital, St. Louis, MO. She volunteered at Jefferson Barracks Hospital for 30 years and at one time was in charge of Jefferson County Seniors Programs. Her life's passion was to spend her time volunteering and raising children.
