Mildred Edythe Wolf

Mildred Edythe Wolf, of Saint Louis, Missouri, entered into rest on Monday, May 20th, 2019. Mildred was born on 8/29/1918 in Pittsburgh, PA. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Dr. Earl C. Wolf (4/22/2003). Dear mother to the late Timothy Earl Wolf (1/28/14), the late Stephen Nicholas Wolf (8/26/04), daughter in law, Colleen Wolf (Timothy) LaLone and daughter Earlene Elizabeth (Lyndon) Anderson. Proud “Nana” to Lane (Dan) Koch, Morgan Anderson, Avery Anderson and Carson (Tessa) Wolf, Collin Wolf, Caitlin (Ben) Bratcher and Cameron (Allie) Wolf. Great grandmother to Langley and Beckett Koch, Emilia and Tiffin Wolf, Judah Bratcher and Stevie Wolf.

Mildred married Earl in 1939. They were happily married for 64 wonderful years. For many years, she served and ministered alongside her husband as he pastored in Stanford, CT, Lancaster, Easton, Norristown, and Oxford, PA. Then she served in many ways alongside Earl at First Church of the Nazarene in Kansas City, MO, where he worked at the Church of the Nazarene Headquarters. Earl preached in all 50 states and is a well-renowned author in the Nazarene Church.


Mildred studied Biology at Eastern Nazarene University in Quincy, MA. During her time as a pastor’s wife, Mildred was known as a great cook and hosted many families. Throughout her life, she served as a church Sunday school teacher, pianist, speaker and prayer warrior. For the last 33 years she attended Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Florissant, Missouri. Her faith in Christ was central to her life and she loved to share the love of Jesus with others.


Funeral services will be on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27th at 10:00am at Trinity Church of the Nazarene. Private graveside service will be on Tuesday, May 28th.


In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Mildred’s honor to the Dr. Earl C. Wolf Scholarship foundation, through Eastern Nazarene College, 23 East Elm Ave., Quincy, MA 01270.
