Mildred “Millie” E. Quade

Mildred “Millie” E. Quade of Chesterfield, MO, passed away at the age of 96 on Sunday, October 11, 2020. She is survived by her children, Doug (Janece) Quade and Jamie Lynk; her grandchildren, Nathan (Amy) Quade, Cristina (Dan) Hennessey, Benjamin Quade, and Katelynn Quade; and her great-grandchildren, Danny, Dominic, Carter, Lily, Finley, Wyatt, Charolette, and Duke.

Millie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Douglas Quade, who passed just three days before her on October 8; her parents, Dewey and Caroline Smith; and her brothers, Larry, Dewey, and Bruce Smith.

Millie had a creative spirit and often liked to take on painting, scrapbooking, and sewing projects. She was an avid reader as well who enjoyed spending time getting lost in a story. Traveling with Douglas and their friends and family all throughout the US on car rides, bus tours, and casino trips or going on a cruise were some of life’s greatest highlights for Millie and she always looked forward to their next trip. For fun, Millie and Douglas enjoyed playing card games (especially their favorite, 500) or spending time with their grandchildren whom they loved so much. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Millie’s name may be made to the American Heart Association.
