November 28, 1927 — July 6, 2011

Millard Ray “Red” Booker, 83, of St. Charles, MO, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ July 6, 2011 at home in St. Charles with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Barbara Janet Booker; loving father of Shirley (Marion) Rehm, Beverly (Brodie) Smith, Daphne Rogers, and Glenda (Stephen) Kline; dear grandfather of Theresa (Greg) Engelage, Bethany (Robert) Fever, Andy Rehm, Meagan (Josh) Lucas, Daniel Smith, Joshua (Rachel) Rogers, Kristen (Greg) Schaefer, Stephanie Kline, and Elijah Kline; dear great-grandfather of Landon & Braden Engelage, Willa Lucas, and Katelyn Schaefer. Red was born November 28, 1927. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, retiring as Chief Master Sergeant and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal. He worked for Grumman Aerospace during the Lunar Excursion Module era and retired as Civil Service Commission Quality Assurance Manager (AFPRO/NAVPRO) in St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Cicero and Bennie Etta Booker; his brothers, John Clifton, Jesse Benton, and Billy Russell; and his sisters, Melba Mae Pearson and Allie Fayda Kent. He is survived by his brother James Alford Booker. Red was an inspiring example of character and faith to all the lives that he touched. His personal relationship with Christ was demonstrated in every thought he had, every word spoken, and every action taken. This love that he demonstrated was genuine and special and can be seen in those he left behind…his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
