Miriam Fischer

Miriam Fischer (nee Neff), of Weldon Spring, MO, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Robert W. Fischer; cherished daughter of the late Margaret and Philo Neff; devoted mother of Sara (Judy Whitney) Fischer, Julie (Bruce) Bennett, Roberta Backhaus; loving grandmother of Alyson (Matt Adler) Ebner, Aaron Bckhaus, and the late Adam Backhaus; precious great grandmother of Blake Ebner, Dylan Ebner, Jackson Ebner, Jackson Adler, Connor Adler, and Samuel Adler; dear sister of the late Ann Winkler; beloved sister in law, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Miriam, strong in her faith, was a devout member of the First United Methodist Church in St. Charles for 76 years. She was also a proud member of The P.E.O. Sisterhood organization. Her greatest pride and joy was her family, whom she cherished deeply. Miriam and her husband Robert traveled extensively all over the world. They especially enjoyed their home in Green Valley, Arizona during the winter months. Miriam loved nature, especially birds. Miriam was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
