Murleen N. Oelze

Murleen N. Oelze, of Maryland Heights, MO, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the age of 90.  Loving wife of 55 years to Lester C. Oelze Sr.; beloved daughter of the late Malvern and Julia Mae Brooks; devoted mother of Jerry (Nora) Outlaw, Beverly (Ralph) Horneker, Charlene Pieper, Lester (Patty) Oelze, Jr., Jeffrey (Claire Boedeker) Oelze, and Donna (Ken Gassel) Oelze; cherished grandmother of Carrie (Shannon) Lanier, Tracy “TJ” Outlaw, Ted (Sharon) Horneker, Tim (Melody) Horneker, Michelle (Tom) Marlow, Danny Pieper, Joe Pieper, Sarah (Jonathan) Spears, Scott Oelze, Michael Oelze, Melinda (the late Noah) Rappe, Blake (Chelsea) Oelze, and Jordan Oelze; treasured great and great-great grandmother to many; dear sister of Melvin Oelze and Winford (the late Tanni) Brooks; and aunt of Sandra Lee (the late Larry) Heston.

Murleen is preceded in death by her son, James A. Outlaw, grandson, Kenny Pieper, brother-in-law, Chris Oelze, and uncle, Jessie R. Anderson.

Murleen was devoted to her faith and a member of Grace Community Chapel Church in St. Peters.  She was very involved as a member of the Martha Fellowship Group and the Prime-Time Ladies Group. She also taught Sunday School at Bridgeton Bible Church.  Murleen loved to travel with her husband and they especially enjoyed many trips to Branson.  She enjoyed creating crafts and Christmas decorations.  In her spare time she could be found playing dominos with her Ladies Group, and she also enjoyed playing board games with her family.  Murleen was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Community Chapel.
