Myron Ralph Spike Henry

Memorials may be given to the Washington Missouri VFW Post #2661 Myron Ralph 'Spike' Henry, of St. Peters, MO passed from this life to his place with Jesus on Saturday, May 21, 2005. Myron was the loving husband of Mary Jane and father of Linda Murkin (Jim), Patricia Bartels (Dale), Betty Hendrixson (George), and Robert Henry (Kathy). Mr. Henry was born in St. Louis, MO in June 1922. He married Mary Jane Viehland in 1947. He served his country honorably in WWII with the 4th Auxiliary Surgical Group. Myron retired from the U.S. Postal Service as the Chief Mechanic of the St. Louis Branch where he was also a valued trainer of mechanical instructors and author of an instructors guide called Vehicle Electrical Systesm He enhanced his retirement years as a mechanic and bus driver for the Ferguson-Florissant School District. His family cherishes the love, faithfulness and positive influence that he lived and instilled in their daily lives. Myron leaves 11 grandchildren: Heather Teakell, Stacy Groff, Joshua Murkin, Lisa Atchison; Charles, Matthew, and Travis Bartels; Adam, Emily, and Luke Hendrixson; Stephen Henry. He was also blessed with 3 great-grandchildren: Amber, Camryn and Tyler Groff.
