Myrtle L. Gierer

Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House. Gierer, Myrtle "Myrt", of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the age of 79. Dearest wife of 60 years to Harold Gierer; dear daughter of the late Walter R. and Emma L. West; devoted mother of Cynthia (Steve) Blaine and the late Michael Gierer; dear mother-in-law of Peggy Gierer; beloved grandmother of Karen, Brian, Laura, Lisa and Meaghan; great-grandmother of 8; dear sister of Gladys Ruckman. She is preceded in death by 7 Brothers and Sisters. She was employed as a Secretary at Maryland Heights Fire Protection District for 10 years before her retirement and previously was the City Clerk for the city of Bridgeton. She loved and enjoyed her family dearly.
