Myrtle Matheny, of St. Louis, Missouri, died on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the age of 100. Dearest wife of the late Oliver R. (Bob) Matheny; dear daughter of the late Joe and Pearl Jackson; loving mother of Carolyn (Preston) Figge, Bill (Bonnie) Matheny, Tom (Julie) Matheny and Rob (Nancy) Matheny; beloved grandmother of Beth Wade, David Figge, Joe Matheny, Jon Matheny, Robin Ford, Ryan Matheny, Laura Matheny, Stephanie Herndon, Michelle Eberlin, Sarah Stolker and Luke Webster; Great-Grandmother of 17; dear sister of Casto Jackson, Woodrow Jackson, Oliver Jackson, Pruna Idhe, Ada Schippers and Dean Fox. She is preceded in death by her Grandson, Allen Matheny, Brothers, Hershel Jackson, Clarence Jackson, Sister, Una Taylor. She was a Co-Founder at Matheny Heating & Cooling and a member of Gateway Church of the Nazarene; formerly the Wellston and Bridgeton Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School and was very active in home missions.
