Nadine Marie Brandt
September 6, 1942 - November 19, 2021
Nadine Marie Brandt, 79, of St. Charles, Missouri was welcomed into her eternal home on November 19, 2021. Nadine was born on September 6, 1942 to the Rev. Arnold G. and Irma A. (Westerman) Deke in Omaha, Nebraska. She spent her childhood in Nebraska and Indiana. On August 6, 1966 Nadine married James Brandt in Kansas City, Missouri.
A graduate of Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Nebraska, Nadine served the Lord teaching intermediate grades in Lutheran schools in Akron, Ohio; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Eagan, Minnesota; and St. Charles, Missouri. Nadine enjoyed writing poetry and often blessed family members and friends with a poem on special occasions. She enjoyed gardening and working with plants in the yard. Wherever she lived, she actively volunteered in her church and community. Among other roles, she served as a Sunday School teacher, stewardship committee member, handbell player, and Christ Casserole Crew organizer. At Immanuel Lutheran Church she was involved with Birthday Club, Joy Ladies Bible Study, and Mother's Club Alumni. Through the joys and trials of life, Nadine had an unwavering faith in God and sought to be a witness to those around her.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents. Nadine is survived by her loving husband, Jim, son John (Wendy) Brandt of St. Charles, MO and daughter Lisa (Jonathan) Dubke of Avon, IN, and grandchildren Benjamin, Andrew, and Amelia Dubke. She is survived by her sister, Sylvia (Glenn) Uecker of Loveland, Colorado and her brother-in-law, Henry Moerer, of Minnetonka, Minnesota. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
