Nadya K. Awwad (nee David), 64, of St Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on September 13, 2019, surrounded by her adoring family.
Born September 15, 1954, in Amman, Jordan, she was the daughter of the late George and Eleanor David, sister of Nabile David, Huda David Easlick, and Atif David.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 42 years, Hanna Khader Awwad; son Mahir Awwad (Natalie Awwad); four daughters, Meha Awwad Alkhouri (Jimmy Alkhouri), Sandy Awwad Mitri (George Mitri), Menal Awwad Beckham (Matthew Beckham), and Christine Awwad; nine grandchildren, Amir Awwad, London Awwad, Alexander Alkhouri, Zachary Alkhouri, Elias Mitri, Yasmeen Mitri, Ava Mitri, Liam Beckham, and Luka Beckham.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019 between 4-8 pm for friends and family at Baue Funeral Home Cave Springs at 3950 W Clay, Saint Charles, MO 63301.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September, 17 2019, 10am, at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church located at 1755 Des Peres Rd, St Louis, MO 63131. Burial will be at Baue Funeral Home Cave Springs.
Nadya is remembered as incredibly courageous and selfless with a love and deep devotion for her family that surpasses all things. Her unwavering faith and trust in God strengthened her through all of life’s challenges and inspired those around her.
