Nancy Carty Hammer

Hammer, Anne '˜Nancy' M. Carty of Lake Saint Louis, MO, died on February 23 at the age of 89. Preceded in death by her loving parents, Leo and Mamie Louprette; husband Edward J. Carty, Jr.; husband Harry R. Hammer; and son, Edward J. Carty, III; devoted mother of Judith Brink, Mary Beth (Mark) Fortney and Leo (Vanessa) Carty; grandmother of William (Jennifer) Brink, Adam (Stephanie) Brink, Robin (Thomas) Race, and David (Lizzi) Brink, Paul (Katie) Fortney, Timothy (Lauren) Fortney, Maria (Justin) Green, Shawn Carty and Joseph Carty; great-grandmother of Nate and Natalie Brink, Rhys and Rani Sitz, KelliAnne and Thomas Race, and Elliott Brink. Nancy is survived by two sisters, Patricia (Paul) Gleason and Roberta (James) Smith and nieces and nephews.
Nancy was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church, Dardenne Prairie, MO. She was one of the founders of the Resurrection Choir, which comforted many families over the years. She retired from St. Mary's College of O'Fallon as Director of Nursing and Southwest Missouri State University, West Plains, as Director of Nursing.
