Nancy Ellen Dees

Nancy Ellen Dees (nee Sneed), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of Norman Dees; cherished daughter of the late William Lyman and Emma M. Sneed; devoted mother of Lisa Ellen (Jim) Berg, Amber Danielle Stotler, and the late Wesley Daniel Dees; loving grandmother of eight grandchildren, as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Nancy married Norman on July 8, 1961, in Piggott, Arkansas, with Rev. Clay Pope officiating. After moving to Missouri, she put herself through college to earn her degree and went on to found Quality County Preschool in O’Fallon, which she owned and operated for many years. A dedicated community member, she served as a troop leader for both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America and played a key role in organizing the O’Fallon Senior Center during its early days. A woman of deep faith, Nancy was a devoted member of Dardenne Presbyterian Church. She found joy in crafting, especially making handmade cards for loved ones, as well as crocheting, sewing, quilting, and reading. Nancy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Nancy's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
