Nancy S. Shors
April 11, 1936 — June 26, 2023
Nancy Sue Shors (nee Steffenson) passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, at the age of 87. Survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years, Dale G. Shors; four children, Douglas (Heather) Shors, Jeffrey (Patricia Roesch) Shors, Stephanie (Christopher Hart) Shors, and Melinda (Dean) Evasius; grandchildren, Anna Shors, Ian Shors, Bridget Hart, Theodore Hart, and Audrey Evasius; a sister, Doris Harrington, of Des Moines, IA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Merle Steffenson, and a sister, Karen Roeder.
Nancy was a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Applied Art and served as a high school educator for a number of years at St. Dominic High School and the former St. Mary’s in O’Fallon, MO. Nancy was an avid reader with a keen interest in art and design. She will be remembered for her kind and profoundly thoughtful nature and long cherished by her children, grandchildren and extended family for her unwavering love and support. Nancy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
