Nancy T. Liebel

Nancy T. Liebel, formerly of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014. 'Nan' was born March 23, 1931, in Buffalo, NY to George and Elizabeth (Nolte) Danitz. Preceding her in death are her first husband Donald A. Liebel, her second husband, John C. Leonard, her parents George and Elizabeth Danitz, and her brother Robert 'Bob'. She leaves behind her children and their families to remember her: Craig Liebel, Marcia (Ted Mittler) Liebel, Keith Leonard, Scott (Denise) Liebel, Kurt (Melony) Liebel, Julie (Richard) Drudi, John Leonard, Jr., and Shelley (Rick) Hickerson; as well as her brother Thomas and sister-in-law, Patricia Liebel. In addition, Nan had 6 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Nan fled cold winter weather of Missouri and moved to Port Charlotte, FL in 1984, where she worked as a real estate title searcher until her retirement in 1998. She was an accomplished seamstress, quilter, and artist, enjoyed attending classes at the Charlotte County Cultural Center on a wide range of subjects and loved to cruise the Caribbean.
A memorial service is being held at Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles, MO on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 6:00 PM with a visitation from 5:00-6:00 PM. A celebration of life is planned for a later date in Port Charlotte FL.
