Neuman G. Richard, of Troy, MO, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Helga Tandler Richard and first wife, Nancy Richard; cherished son of the late James Richard and the late Alice Fitzwater; devoted father of Yvonne Richard, Constance (Dave) Hopkins and the late Neuman Richard, Jr.; loving grandfather of Neal (Kayla) Richard, Jeffrey (Brea) Gile, Jr., Amber Richard, Jennifer (Corey) Hively, Jessica (Faizel) Ismail, Laura (Adrian) Ramirez and Charles (Rikki) Hopkins; Neuman is also survived by his best friend, Jimmy Krangle and Robert (Nancy) Peek. Neuman is preceded in death by his siblings, Iris, Jimmy, Hugh, Arlan, and Phyllis.
Neuman proudly and honorably served in the United States Army, where he was a Master Sergeant and paratrooper and later into the Army Reserve.
Neuman, a man of many talents and passions, lived a life full of creativity and generosity. He enjoyed golf, traveling, flying, and skiing trips with his wife. Neuman was an artist at heart, loved to paint, and crafted model planes. He also took great pleasure in cooking for his family and was known for his generosity and willingness to help. Neuman worked at Boeing before retiring from Ford as a spray painter.
His love for music and history was evident in his ability to play the organ and piano, his fondness for singing along to polka and ragtime, and his interest in wartime movies. A devoted member of the EAA Chapter 32 and AOPA, Neuman's warm spirit and many talents will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Neuman's name to the local animal shelter of your choice.
