Nicholas Koclanes

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association. Koclanes, Nicholas "Nick", of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Monday, September 8, 2008 at the age of 84. Dearest husband of Anna Koclanes; dear son of the late Peter and Francis Koclanes; devoted father of Dottie (Bob) Rotter, James (Wendy) Koclanes, Michael (Cyrena) Koclanes and Tony (Denise) Koclanes; beloved grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 2; dear brother of John (Grace) Koclanes, James Koclanes and the late Anthony, George, Michael, Georgia and Kathryn. Nick was employed as a Unit Chief, Avionics at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri for 25 years before his retirement. He was a member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, Town & Country, Missouri; a graduate Washington University, 1968; former owner of Midwest Television Service on Riverview, St. Louis, MO; a former teacher; he taught technical classes at South West School of Electronics, Austin, TX and St. Louis County Technical School. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan; enjoyed going for rides and would take rides to Las Vegas; loved "Classic" Country Music and singing Karaoke. In his later years, he enjoyed playing games with his family and solving crossword puzzles.
