Nira Runnels (nee: Raff) of Roxana, IL, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of Lender Runnels; cherished daughter of the late Henry and Bertha Raff; devoted mother of Sharon Runnels and Cliff (Trena) Schaumburg; loving grandmother of five; and treasured great grandmother and great-great grandmother of many.
Nira worked as an Import and Export Specialist for 36 years at Famous bar. She loved playing cards, Pinochle among her favorite, and traveling, especially to Clearwater Beach, Florida. She was a fantastic cook, her specialty being Prime Ribs at Christmas time. Nira was deeply loved by her family and many friends, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made to Animal Protective Association.
