Norma Lee Koetter (nee: Luke) of St Charles, Missouri, died Wednesday March 5, 2025. Beloved wife of Robert E. Koetter, beloved daughter of the late Frank Lincoln and Frances Luke. Devoted mother of Marsha (Dave Eaton) Tucker, Diane (Jim) Weber, and the late Becky (Chris) Sprague. Treasured sister of Don Luke. Loving grandmother of Jenny (Steve Baker) Batterton, Luke (Sarah) Weber, Dan (Maria) Weber, Andy Sprague, Matt Sprague, and Tom Sprague. Great Grandchildren, Henry Weber, Jake Weber, Colin Weber, Janie Weber and Tony Weber.
Norma spent her early childhood years in Belleville, Illinois. Her family relocated to St. Louis and then to St. Charles where she attended St Charles High School. After high school she followed her calling and obtained an RN degree from Deaconess School of Nursing and upon graduating she and Bob were married.
Bob and Norma moved for Bob’s career to Hot Springs Arkansas and Independence Missouri before returning and settling in St Charles. With Norma’s congenial personality she made lifelong friends every place they lived. Her caring spirit guided her many years as a nurse and kept her involved in many volunteer jobs throughout her life.
Norma loved talking on the phone, playing bridge and dominoes, eating chocolate and potato chips. Most importantly she always made time for others. She was quick to send a card, make a phone call or deliver a hot meal.
She adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was grateful for her neighbors whom she loved like family.
Her strongest commitment was to her husband Bob. In seventy years of marriage, they were rarely apart. She believed their life together was God’s greatest blessing.
Following services at First St Charles United Methodist Norma will be laid to rest at a private family graveside ceremony at United Methodist Wesleyan Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation at www.Macular.org or First St. Charles United Methodist Church food pantry.
